Harvest Direct Enterprises is the first and only company in the world to make strain-specific cannabis edibles. Our focus on the scientific method and intellectual property development has led to the development of our patent-pending manufacturing device, LACY – Lossless Activation Chamber Y. LACY is able to activate and infuse cannabis with absolutely no loss or degradation of the original plant’s profile. This means our device produces an extract that is activated and has retained all of the terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, and all the other compounds in addition to the THC and CBD.
“The Harvest Direct Enterprises LLC was founded in the summer of 2016. The idea for the product and inspiration behind it originated in Pittsburgh, PA where a group of college students with a knack for chemistry and a love of cannabis decided that they were fed up with the low-quality cannabis they were getting and wanted to do something about it. Several trays of pot-brownies later, they realized that they were consuming a lot of calories and, more importantly, they had to endure a lot of horrible-tasting brownies. So, it was back to the drawing board.
After analyzing the pot brownie recipe it became apparent to Zeyead Gharib, our CEO and co- founder, that the activation of cannabinoids (while maintaining the plant profile) and infusion into an organic medium (like oil) were the only vital steps, chemically speaking. Using this information and the suddenly relevant and applicable chemistry he was learning in lecture and laboratories, Zeyead, along with his brother Ahmed Gharib, embarked on formulating a one-of- a-kind product and a patent-pending device to produce it. It was immediately apparent that this product could eliminate the need for all other cannabis infused edibles and that it could potentially replace smoking as a form of cannabis consumption.”
