PMMI Workforce Development

The Workforce Development Pavilion is the place to go to connect with PMMI Education Partners and students from across North America. Faculty will be available to answer questions about their packaging, engineering and/or mechatronics programs. Stop by and meet your future workforce. Including: CareerLink LIVE – This event provides employers in the packaging industry, the opportunity to meet and connect with a targeted audience of talented students from packaging, processing, materials, package design, engineering and mechatronics programs. The Amazing Packaging Race – Wednesday, October 26, 9am-2pm – The Amazing Packaging Race is designed to show students exciting possibilities in the packaging industry. In this fun and educational event, teams from colleges and universities across North America race around the show floor to complete tasks at the booths of participating exhibitors. The PACK Challenge – A new competition will debut this fall at PACK EXPO International—PACK Challenge! Six teams of high school students will be selected to participate in assembling a snack filler machine specifically designed for this competition onsite in Chicago. PMMI U Workshops – Learn about all the PMMI U offerings including Fundamentals of Field Service, Risk Assessment and Certified Trainer.
