Pope Scientific, Inc., founded in 1963, is a world leader in distillation equipment and technology. Since 2002, pharmaceutical CBD has been purified by clients utilizing Pope’s high vacuum, short residence time stills.

Our 2″ diameter Wiped-Film (short-path) Molecular Stills have now rapidly become the classic machine in all the legal states and several countries for final purification of THC and CBD at highest purity, quality, yield and clarity, with output of >1 kg/day. Pope’s 4″ and 6″ models are utilized for greater throughputs, (plus larger systems up to 200 kg/hr!). Terpenes collection also possible.

Excellent results are independent of the extraction method used, (SCFE, Butane, Ethanol, etc.), and whether or not winterization and/or decarboxylation has been done. Distillate product is optically clear light yellow, with dark residue, chlorophyll, heavy waxes, salts, etc. left behind. Pope Wiped-Film Evaporators (WFE) are utilized for continuous large scale solvent removal, (post-winterization, etc.) as an alternate to rotary evaporators. Stainless steel Fractional Stills, Reactors, Vessels and Nutsche Filter-Dryers also offered.
